What’s a Mini Session? It’s a quick and easy alternative to have your children photographed in a fun and affordable way! It’s also a great way to try out a new photographer!
As usual these Mini’s fill up quickly, so best to schedule as soon as possible. This particular session will be a “Woodland” setting…Caitlin and I are brainstorming some ridiculously adorable ideas! Hope to see you on April 27th!
BOUDOIR. The term derives from the French verb, bouder, meaning “to be sulky” or boudeur, meaning “sulky”.
I’ve been shooting a good amount of Boudoir sessions this year. Women of all ages (and body types) have come through the doors. They come to me for many different reasons….some decide they want to do it as a gift to their partners, and others want to do the shoot just for themselves. For whatever reason they come to me they leave here feeling GORGEOUS! They might arrive a little nervous, but after 15-20 minutes I see them relaxing and really, really enjoying themselves!! They all say pretty much the same thing when they leave, “Oh my gosh Cathy! I am soooooo glad i did this! You made me feel BEAUTIFUL. (uhhhhhh, because you are!) My job is to show them that beauty, and capture it on film, so that when they’re 70 or 80 they can look at these images and remember just how beautiful they are!!!

This week I decided to pay it forward and help out another small business owner in the community! So the other day i met up with the lovely Kara Stoner, of KARA KAKES for a commercial shoot. She is the newest young entrepreneur to hit the local small business world. Since starting her cupcake business a few months ago, she’s been super busy relying solely on the referral of family and friends. Word spreads quickly when you’ve got a product as good as hers! I can wholeheartedly recommend her. She’s baked for us a few times now; birthdays and Valentines Day. Look her up and give her a call. Right now she can be found on Facebook under “Kara Kakes”. You won’t be disappointed! And she is as SWEET as her cupcakes!

This week along with the help from Meg McNeil and Schneids’ crew, we helped move Caitlin and Cyril into their new home! Crazy weather just before the closing, and then more of the white stuff once they got settled in, but that just added to the excitement and on moving day the sun shone brightly and temps hit the 40′s (freaking heat wave). Brooke came up from Ct with the boys and Hannah came down from Boston and with the help of “the sisters”, and the “cousins” the new house was christened! Such a GREAT week!
While we helped them unpack boxes the bigger kids ripped it up on the slopes out back. We discovered this weekend, many sweet bonus’s to their 1881 home. Besides the obvious charm and warmth, they have the perfect set up for sledding. We had the outdoor fireplace blazing last night up on the hill and had ourselves a perfect New England winter night.
